A persistent feature of programming is how often one must deal with the unexpected. Some find this property annoying especially when hurried. But the more leisurely programmer finds discoveries a continual source of joy.

We should write more about the tangents we encounter for they lead to often overlooked understanding. To this end I introduce the section heading "Curiosity".

We hope to elevate leisure above laziness by documenting its tangible rewards. It would be the lazy programmer who chooses to do only what they have been told.
