We talked about Solar, and its usefulness with electronics, especially the subset of electronics that include computers. The subset of computers that you can put far away from humans in a desert are called servers. The marketing term for servers is The Cloud.
The Cloud does plenty of things: storage and backup, content streaming, unreasonably complicated pipelines that people believe are necessary to put a static webpage online.
Given that we're putting solar panels in the desert, there's gonna be a stead stream of electricity all day every day. So the most useful thing to do is to have the machines computing merrily away the whole time.
There've been two things that have started to get us to understand the benefit of computers computing all the time: these guys 
, and AI.
And, well, most folks hate both.
